Governor’s Native American Summit

 

The Annual Native American Summit began in 2005 at the request of then Governor Jon M. Huntsman, Jr., as a way of facilitating a discussion between state government, business and tribal leaders to address and develop solutions to various challenges that American Indians living in Utah face.

  • Directed 30 event volunteers and 25 board members for the Lieutenant Governor’s Native American Summit for the Utah Division of Indian Affairs
  • Coordinated and recruited breakout sessions, educational pathways, and visual display of program
  • Created a program evaluation for the Governor’s Native American Summit for the State of Utah.  Included strategic recommendations for future years. Presented to Lieutenant Governor of Utah and Board members.
