Waitomo Caves: New Zealand

After a rappel into dark crevasse and a zip-line through a glow worm lit cavern, then onto tubes to float down a underground river through a tunnel also lit by glow worms. It is an underground cathedral. The serenity and awesomeness are only slightly tainted when our guide explains that the glow actually comes from the worm’s excrement.
